About Us

NOPOSC MISSION
The Mission of the North Portland Soccer Club is to develop the American youth soccer player through a new developmental soccer philosophy. The philosophy of positive teaching by role-models provides a nurturing environment for each player to gain self confidence, self motivation and self discipline. All players are challenged and supported by the curriculum while forming friendships with the staff and fellow players.

About NOPOSC
North Portland Soccer Club (NOPOSC) is centered in the Northern neighborhoods of Portland, Oregon. We are one of the largest soccer clubs in the city, which presently has 18 separate clubs servicing all communities. NOPOSC serves over 700 players each year, fielding over 50 teams playing from U5 through U14.

NOPOSC's mission is simple. We exist to facilitate children playing soccer. We always keep that in mind as we development programs and make decisions for club play.

We are a 501(c)3 corporation, and are always happy to accept donations or sponsorships. NOPOSC is probably one of only clubs in the league that does not impose fundraising on their players and families. We made a commitment to all of our families not to add to the ongoing school funding, scouting, etc. requests with sales of any merchandise. We believe this to be a responsible choice and know how much it is apreciated. However, we know there are opportunities available that wouldn't impose family hardship and we need to actively pursue this venue. If you would consider a donation to the season of play, please note that on your registration material and submit payment with your registration.

NOPOSC teams from U7 to u14 play in the fall and spring recreational league organized by PYSA (Portland Youth Soccer Association)

NOPOSC also hosts a Little Kickers program - this serves Pre-K and Kindergartners. A few practices, a few games, lots of fun and lots of exercise.

North Portland Soccer Club is affiliated with Portland Youth Soccer Association (PYSA).
