NOPO Needs Your Help!!

Hello NOPOSC Families,
North Portland Soccer Club needs your support.

Since merging Peninsula Soccer Club with St. Johns Soccer Club in 2012, North Portland Soccer Club (NOPOSC) has been positively representing the community and given more than 6,000 North Portland children the opportunity to play soccer, and to be proud of their community in the process.

Our mission is and has always been to give children the opportunity to play soccer regardless of means.In the Fall of 2022 (next year!) we will need new volunteers to assist with running the club. NOPOSC’s current volunteer base has been with the club for many years and due to our children aging out are retiring.

As an all-volunteer run grass roots soccer club that is administered and run by the community, your assistance as new local volunteers is needed to continue running the club. If not, our governing body Portland Youth Soccer Association (PYSA) will assume leadership of the club without the North Portland community involvement or voice. For this to be in place for Fall Season 2022, action needs to be taken now and volunteers are needed for the Spring 2022 season to begin the transition and training. 

If you are looking for ways to expand your involvement within the community and truly experience becoming part of your neighborhood, volunteering with NOPOSC is the perfect opportunity. It is also a great way of getting involved with other parents and friends in this community to support our children. 

We are looking for volunteers to build sub-committees responsible for the below positions needing volunteers, with the idea of spreading work out among 2-3 volunteers.

Without your support the club is in danger of ceasing to exist in its current format. The community needs everyone’s involvement via volunteerism to thrive.
